Meet The Team

Michelle

I was born and raised in NY’s beautiful Hudson Valley. Graduating from SUNY Dutchess in 1992 and then SUNY Delhi in 1994 with a Veterinary Science degree, I became an official Licensed Veterinary Technician after passing the NYS Board Exams. I love being able to work with animals of all shapes and sizes providing care however I can. I share my home with Cabela, a German Shorthaired Pointer, Poli a robust 16 year young Bichon mix, and Peeta, the sweetest orange tabby cat. Blessed to have two beautiful daughters, one of which is a United States Marine- OORAH and one that is the coolest volleyball player ever! My husband of 20 years has been a tremendous support system of growing The Walking Dog.co and our parent company VetMedics. I am always humbled and honored to help out our Hudson Valley pet owners.

Joe

I am a lifelong animal lover and first met Michelle as a client in 1994 I have bred dogs and exhibited them in conformation and in rally obedience. I also work on call as a handler for an animal talent agency, and as a volunteer doing capture and transport for Friends of the Feathered and Furry Wildlife Center. I am a retired psychiatric social worker, and have always found that my knowledge of both human and animal behavior work hand in hand. I have lectured on this topic at dog training seminars.

Jessica

I’ve always loved animals since I was young, and decided to pursue a career with animals. I graduated from SUNY Ulster in 2018 with a degree in veterinary technology and am finishing up my bachelor’s degree in wildlife science at SUNY ESF. I am beyond thrilled to be a caregiver for other pets and treat them as if they were my own.

Dizzy

You couldn’t ask for a bigger heart to take care of your furry friends. I am a giver in every sense of the word and will go above and beyond to ensure the happiness of those who need it. Attentive and caring is the name of the game at all times. I am also a live musician and entertainer so having fun with pets is second nature to me!
